 What is a GRI Designation?

GRI stands for Graduate REALTORS®  Institute.  Only members of the National Association of   REALTORS®  (NAR) are eligible to use the term REALTOR®  and only REALTORS®  can obtain the GRI designation. According to a 2007 NAR survey, designees make approximately $36,600 more per year than non-designees. This program concentrates on the necessary skills to excel in the residential sales market.

The GRI designation is your for life!

There is no continuing education/renewal requirement and there are no annual dues to in order to retain your designation.

How do I obtain the GRI designation?

You must complete all of the 6 GRI classes. Classes may be completed in any order.  Each class is two days long, and a test is administered at the end of each class. Students must receive a 70% on the exam to receive credit towards their GRI designation. Students may retake the exam if necessary.  You have 5 years from the date of your first class to complete the designation.
