The aging population is a massive demographic. According to a recent study summarized in REALTOR® Magazine, it’s expected that by 2030, one-quarter of the US population will be age 50 or over. As the population ages, it’s going to be more important than ever for real estate agents and the housing industry to understand how to provide service and support to this demographic over time. The course on sale this month is the Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) Designation Course. This 12-hour course addresses how to understand the cultural, legal, and financial concerns of older individuals—to best serve this generational group of buyers and sellers. The SRES® designation is for REALTORS® who want to be able to meet the special needs of maturing Americans when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties. Senior Real Estate Specialists® gain access to a network of over 14,000 designees, customizable SRES® designation marketing materials, and social and business networking.
